Welcome to my website. I am running for the Virginia Senate representing the 25th District. The District covers Highland, Bath, Alleghany, Rockbridge and Nelson Counties and most of Albemarle County. It also includes the cities of Buena Vista, Charlottesville, Covington and Lexington.
As we move forward to election day on November 8, 2011, I will be listening to your concerns, your hopes and your dreams. I recognize that many of us are concerned about the lack of jobs, the fragile state of the economy and the lack of cooperation among our political leaders. As the Senator representing the 25th District, I will work hard to make our government better and more responsive to the people.
I believe that we do not exist to serve the government, but that the government exists to serve us. I believe that leadership means service. I believe an elected official needs to be selfless, not selfish. I believe that government can only do so much.
We cannot count on the government to solve all our problems. I believe that the ultimate safety net in our society is good parents and people who have and show love and mercy for their fellow citizens. I believe in God. I believe that with God’s help we can turn this failing economy around and return to prosperity.
This race and this campaign is not about me. It’s about us and the future generations who will call Virginia home with pride. May God bless us.
